A not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization Serving the community since 1925 in Philanthropy, Community Needs, the Arts, Education including programs on Literature and Writing, and Well Being programs for all ages.
The BWC was founded in 1925 when Women’s Clubs were being formed in every town and village in Westchester and around the country. At that time, a woman was able to join a club virtually within walking distance of her home. As the years have gone by, most of those clubs have either closed or no longer have their clubhouses, and those remaining have extended their mileage requirements.
The Bronxville Women's Club is a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowable of the IR code. Besides our philanthropic endeavors, this designation helps us with our mission to keep the building sound for today and future generations. Please feel free to contact us if you would like to help in keeping the historic building sound.
Women’s Clubs originated after the women fought and won the suffrage movement. The women then went on to local issues, which clubs today still do. Historically, they have been very supportive of education, the arts, and philanthropic endeavors. At the BWC, the building is used by the entire community for their many activities.
The Bronxville Women's Club is actively working on expanding its membership. Now is the perfect time for you to consider membership in our organization. As many people have said, "The Bronxville Women's Club is the best kept secret in town!" We have never meant it to be, so come on over and check us out. At the club, you have opportunities for community and philanthropic endeavors, educational and cultural programs, and social and relaxing events. Something and everything for everyone! Membership donation is only $250 a year (or only $20.83 a month!), and there are no monthly financial quotas for members. We look forward to hearing from you.
