The Founder's Room, originally called "The Library," is a wood-panelled room to the left of the Loggia, and the route to the stairs to the lower level. Over the fireplace is a portrait of Anna Lawrence Bisland, daughter of Sarah Lawrence and the founder and first president of the Bronxville Women's Club.
The room is set as a quiet study, with comfortable chairs for waiting, chatting, or reading. For those who would like to catch up with the history of the BWC and Bronxville, there are bound copies of The Villager, the BWC's literary magazine published from 1928 through 2002. Food is not allowed in this room.
