DuoEssence--Rebecca Kuehl, flute, and Chris Funke, guitar--has been an active ensemble for four years. They have given multiple concerts in the New York City, Buffalo, Minneapolis, Oneonta, Monterey, and other locales. This will be the Duo's second performance at the Bronxville Women's Club. DuEssence performs a wide range of styles stemming from their classical background; classical to Brazilian; world music to American Folk. This past year, the group began exploring and arranging a wide range of Brazilian music, and recently they performed in Master Class for two leading virtuosos in the genre, Carlos Barbosa-Lima and Vanderlay Pereira.
